Max’s story begins in heartbreak. At just two weeks old, he was stolen from his mother by what his rescuer described as “some horrible pet owners.” Reddit user u/GrizzHorror shared, “This poor guy was apparently stolen from his mother at just two weeks… By the time he was removed from their home he had next to no fun and was filled with worms.”
The tiny pup had been so neglected, he didn’t even know how to eat. “Poor guy didn’t even know how to eat so he was bottle fed,” Grizz wrote. Malnourished and scared, Max had never known what it felt like to be safe — until Grizz and his girlfriend stepped in to change everything.
Now, Max is eight months old and finally living the life he deserves. “He is now 8 months old and I’m told he is a mix between a corgi and a retriever,” Grizz said. “Not sure how true that is but I love him and his little legs.” Once weak and unsure of the world, Max now runs on short legs and a full heart — a different dog from the one who was once too small to eat on his own.
